INTERACTIVE LIMINAL SPACES:
LAUNDROMAT - AT THE THRESHOLD OF ROUTINE
ROSALIE RIEGLER, LUKAS TOLUNAY
As part of the design course "Konzeptioneller Entwurf" a project was developed to explore the concept of liminal spaces—spaces of transition and in-betweenness—and translate them into an interactive spatial experience within a CAVE (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment). Focusing on everyday routines and repetitive tasks, the project investigates how such cycles create liminal conditions in daily life, using the laundromat as a familiar setting where waiting, repetition, and transition naturally converge.
