BALANCING OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY AND ADAPTATION FOR SYSTEM-BASED GENERAL CONTRACTORS IN THE PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE.

TARIRO MUPARADZI

This thesis explores how system-based general contractors (SBGCs) can integrate non-standard projects into their process-based integrated planning systems. It identifies key challenges such as limited knowledge, collaboration difficulties, and over-reliance on standard processes. Proposed solutions include forming a dedicated concept team, enhancing early engagement, and leveraging AI for project evaluation. The study aims to improve adaptability and competitiveness in managing non-standard projects.
