SMART CITY DYNAMICS: LEARNING THE SMART CITY THROUGH PLAY

Instead of only explaining the Smart City, what if people could experience it? This Master’s explores game-based learning, participatory design, and systems thinking through an analogue semi-cooperative serious board game. Players take on urban roles, make decisions, negotiate priorities, and experience interconnected consequences. Playtesting with experts and non-experts evaluated its potential as an accessible tool for understanding complex urban systems.
